3M makes great products.
This kit is easy to use, and quick, if you use a drill.
Unfortunately, my electric cordless drill's design is (^&#%*)
so I ended up doing this by hand, which still turned out well.
It's not perfectly clear, but much much better, probably some haze
on the inside of the plastic lens (another project).
I recommend it.

Honestly the product simply works, there is no hype. Just follow the instructions, don't be afraid to really grind away in the first few stages, and the results will be impressive. I saved myself a lot of money from buying new ones. Overall-- Great Product.

"Holy frickin' moly!" comes close. "Miracle"? Perhaps a little too powerful.

I plugged a pair of Sylvania Silverstar Ultra headlights into my 1996 Subaru Legacy sedan and . . . bleah. Where's that intense white near-HID light I paid for?!

A non-abrasive headlight restoration kit yielded negligible results. The Manny-Moe-Jack chain wanted at least half a C-note as did my trusted shadetree mechanic. When I asked him about the 3M kit, he admitted, "It's what we use." Next stop: Amazon.com.

I read the reviews, watched the video and gambled the price at the local O'Reilly (I was impatient) where the counter guy continued the litany of praise. Armed with my Ryobi 18 volt drill and the rest of the required tools, I plunged right in and restored the headlight with the worst corrosion, including a snowy white oxidized silhouette of a mountain range along the bottom. I was skeptical, believing nothing would remove the oxidation. Amazingly, it sanded right out. Upon completion, I stepped back and reveled for a few moments in the difference. After a battery recharge (yes, it takes the power of 2 battery packs per headlight), I finished the task and topped it off with a quick trip to an automated car wash to remove the restoration residue. A bottle of 3M's lens cleaner and protectant is on its way from Amazon.com
